RICHARD BRANSON ON WHY IF YOU'RE IN BUSINESS YOU'VE GOT TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH SELLING . . . . . . . . . .

I once had someone complain to me on facebook that they didn’t like the fact that I sometimes tell people about the courses that I’m running or events which I come across that others might like. That’s fine, de-friend me, that way I don’t have to worry about offending you was my reply.
I was just reading a book by Robert Allen & Mark Victor Hansen & there's an extract from Sir Richard Branson’s book Screw It, Let’s Do It. Richard says:
“I have spent much of my life being happy about promoting myself and Virgin. Advertising, publicity, promotion – call it what you will – works. Even nature puts on a show – flowers, birds, even beetles display themselves. There is so much competition in the world that if you have something to sell, no matter what, you have to get it noticed. Those early days of hard sell were to stand me in good stead. I learned we all have something to sell whether it’s a tangible object like a car or a box of Girl Scout cookies or offering talents for hire. It’s no use producing goods or having the best ideas in the Universe if they just stay in your head or stacked up in a corner in your bedroom.”
Well, that said, my latest idea is helping people bring their best ideas to life, get those ideas out of their heads, into the world, and remove the blocks and barriers that have been getting in the way or keeping them stuck.
If you have projects, ideas, dreams or goals that have yet to see the light of day despite your best intentions then this 1-Day event in November is for you. For further information go to http://banishprocrastination.eventbrite.com/ right now and book your place. It might just be THE thing that gets you kick started for a more magical year in 2012!
There is also a special Book It Now! Price to help those of you who regularly have procrastination cost you money break the habit :-)
The clients that I've been coaching around the issue of getting things done and procrastination have been literally flying, and are amazed at how much they've been getting done without even really realising it. Procrastination is often not the presenting problem, however what I've noticed time and time again is that it's one of issues that sits beneath the surface sabotaging your progress and silently killing your dreams.

Also I want to thank my local TK Maxx for sponsoring a few gifts for what promises to be an amazing weekend. Because this day is really about changing your mindset and really taking action and getting things done, I wanted to ensure that I add physical action into the mix, so a couple of lucky delegates will be going home with something very special from TK Maxx which they can use to ensure that they handle some of those all important storage needs.
